Which class should I choose?

Baby Beginners is for babies aged 3–12 months who are new to the water or still building confidence. Baby Advance is for children aged 12–24 months who are ready for more active, playful water skills. Toddler Beginners is for children aged 2–3 years who are ready for a little more structure, with their parent or carer still alongside them in the pool.

If you are unsure, please reach out and a member of the team can help you find the right fit.

Does a parent or carer join the lesson?

Yes. A parent or carer joins their child in the water for all of our baby and toddler lessons. Your child benefits from having a familiar adult nearby while they explore the water at their own pace.

Our instructor guides you through the activities, helping you support your child as they explore the water and develop new skills together.

How long are lessons?

Baby and toddler lessons last 30 minutes - plenty of time for songs, play and confidence-building activities, without feeling too long for little ones.

How many children are in each class?

We keep classes small, with a maximum of six children. This allows Suzie to give each family individual support while keeping the sessions sociable, relaxed and fun.

What happens during a lesson?

Lessons are playful, gentle and child-led. You can expect songs, toys, supported floating, kicking, splashing and simple games that help children feel comfortable in the water. There is never any pressure to do something before your child feels ready.

As children progress, we introduce more structured activities to build confidence, body control and independence, with parent or carer support throughout.

Can we try a lesson before joining?

Yes - every new swimmer is welcome to book a complimentary taster lesson. It is a chance to meet Suzie, see how the class feels and decide whether it is right for your child. There is no pressure to continue afterwards.

Select “View Taster Slots” on the class that suits your child, or visit our free taster booking page to choose an available session.

What should we bring and when should we arrive?

Please bring swimwear, towels and a reusable neoprene swim nappy with a disposable swim nappy underneath for children under four. We recommend arriving up to 15 minutes before your first lesson, so you have time to get settled and change comfortably.

• Bring swimwear and towels for both adult and child

• For all under-4s, use an inner disposable or reusable swim nappy plus a snug reusable neoprene outer nappy

• One parent or carer accompanies each child in the water
